Pit 3: Level 1 produced: 10 pieces of pottery, 8 pieces of glass, 5 nails, larger amounts of charcoal-like material and brick. Ken Banks, Cooper Banks, Dean Hunt, Odess Brinkman, and myself started Pit #3 exactly adjacent (to the East) of Pit #2. The level produced about a 30% increase in pottery and glass pieces over level 1 in Pit #2 and 5 nails (compared to 1 nail for Pit #2). Not included in the pictures of this report are 2 large iron property markers that would have been placed there in 1960.
