Pit 7: Level 2

Art, Pat, Fred, Dean, and David continued into level 2. Things started off slow in level 2 like it did with our best level yet (Pit #9 last weekend) so we still had hope. We did find the largest brick yet, a few pieces of glass, some flint, charcoal, but only one piece of pottery. This fell short of all the level 2's in Grid 7. The large brick piece was maybe our most interesting brick found yet because it had obvious plow-scars. We were now all hoping that the dynamics of the land had put more items in level 3.

Pit 7: Level 2 produced: Brick, 1 pieces of pottery, 3 pieces of glass, 2 pieces of flint, and some charcoal.
