Pit 41: Level 2

Completed by Jerry Bright and Cody Wyatt, Odess and David Brinkman on June 14, 2013. As we have seen in other pits in this area, we saw decreasing artifact numbers in level 2 leading us to believe that there may be another rich layer of artifacts in the next level. Jerry found a good burned pipe bowl fragment and David found a 1720-1750 pipe stem. Not bad for level 2 but, surprisingly, we only had 1 nail in the first 2 levels but good amounts of brick.

Pit 41: Level 2 produced: 7 pieces of pottery, 5 pieces of glass, 1 nails, nice pipe bowl and pipe stem.
