Pit 44: Level 2

DC Locke, David and Todd Schelling, Andrea Robichaud, and David Brinkman. David Schelling started getting into the digging once again and Todd found another nice pipe bowl piece. We also found a beautiful orange and green pearlware (late 1700's) piece that is part of a bowl/plate piece we found about this time last year. Since we are having to go deeper in this area, we decided to expand level 2 to 17 centimeters like level 1. We ended up having really good pottery and nail counts for the level.

Pit 44: Level 2 produced: 35 pieces of pottery, 10 pieces of glass, 8 nails, and 3 pipe bowl pieces.
