Pit 52: Level 2

Completed October 27, 2013 by Dean Hunt, DC and Jocelyn Locke, David and Odess Brinkman. After Dean, David, and DC settled down from the coin find in level 1, level 2 started producing a good amount of pottery and glass and a huge number of nails. A 1720-1750 pipe stem was found and also a decorated pipe bowl piece. We also found several Native American pieces including flint and pottery. Overall, a good level. Level 3 will determine if pit 53 continues our streak of top 5 pits.

Pit 52: Level 2 produced: 31 pieces of pottery, 36 pieces of glass, 22 nails, 4 Native American pieces, and 3 pipe pieces.
