Pit 72: Level 3

Completed on October 31, 2014 by DC Locke, Dean Hunt, Teresa Mitchell, Steven Rougeau, Martin Banks, and David Brinkman. Odess was still working inside to cook-up the Halloween party dinner. For the third pit in a row, artifacts died out quickly in level 3. Nevertheless, Dean, Martin, and David went to the regular 50cm and then filled the pit. Thanks to level 2, pit 72 was another great pit. In total, we found 47 pieces of pottery, 76 pieces of glass, 19 nails, the second highest amount of brick, a pipe bowl and pipe stem (1750-1800), 19 iron pieces, a possible brass badge and button front, and a post hole feature.
