The Davenport's were unable to attend - Midge fell and crushed her hip.
The Young's Canceled out the day before the reunion, Joe wasn't feeling up to par.
Frank DuBois had open heart surgury.
Last report John Johnson was still in the hospital.
Stan Dunn reported that Mary McKellar was still not in the best of health.
We wish them all the best, our thoughts are with them.

Old age is like underwear - it creeps up on you.
Anyone not having a current roster list (June 1991)
Please notify me - Bud. All hats with USS Lowndes imprint have been sold.
Hope Mitch Chasteen & Walt Karson
enjoyed their Alaska cruise with the Old Folks. By the
way, Walt was the fellow who donated the color rendition of the ship for our
  auction.
Anuone desiring a 6^ x 9-2 color copy can contact me and for the paltry sum
of $4.00 I'll mail one to them. Incidently, Agnes Bensie, Jim &
Maggie Frieden did a superb job handling the auction. They raised a grand
total of $674.50 to enrich our treasury.
At our business meeting a motion was entered and seconded that the ship purchase a plaque to be put in the Iwo Jima Memorial in Harlingen, Texas to honor our fallen shipmates.
"We have the nicest people to call our shipmates. I think the Lord was very choosy when He picked out the Crew for the USS Lowndes" So sayeth George Tuppan.
"Folks, words cannot express the happiness that has been shown in the eyes of such a great reunion" Quotes Harold Brunner.
Once more, Stan Dunn was responsible for the exquisite flowers from Hawaii. Stan also brought smoked marl in which he caught.
Thanks to Jackie Umbarger for the flowers adorning each table at our banquet.

Still looking for the biographical data sheets - fill'em out & send to me.
Need more recipes to get our cook book going,
  everyone must have some
favorites. Don't limit yourselves to one or two, send lots to Jean.
Any of you fellows out there who want
to receive the medals you are
entitled to - send request to National Personnel Center - Military Records,
9700 Page Blvd. - St. Louis, MO 63132. Give your serial number and list
  theaters served in.
Frances Karson, good luck on your surgery.
Thank you for the pre-op get well card, arthroscopic
  surgery involving
removal of spurs and repairing the rotator cuff is progressing as
  scheduled (too slow).
Hal Brunner informs me that he owns a 1979
  Heritage Thunderbird with
216,000 miles on it and neither the engine nor transmission has never
been worked on. Guess he's trying for the quarter million mark. Why
that's enough to get him to the moon - not back, do I hear a motion?
I want to thank all the crew members of the
  Lowndes for the very nice
plaque presented, via Dan Wisdom, to me at the Fort Wayne reunion. It
will have a special niche in our home.
