Soil Probes
Take 1" diameter core samples to 30" in about 10 different areas of the property. Mainly in the back yard. We will look for human traces (charcoal, brick) like that found in the "hot zone" of the front yard. This will be a lot easier than doing 1M pits. So far, the back yard has only yielded modern items and small amounts of Granby brick.
Site Cleanup
August 31, 2013: Cleanup rear corner of lot for a pit. The recent discovery that the bottle top found in pit 8 is Colonial period means we need to look more closely at this area of the back yard. The back corner is overgrown and a tree has fallen in it.
