Pit 11: Level 2

Completed on August 4, 2012 by Pat, Art, Fred, Dean, DC Locke, and David. DC (who studied Archaeology) joined us in level 2. Like pit 9, level 2 was slow to produce but started showing results at the end. It also produced what we thought was just a large rock but, after cleaning, it appears to be a burned brick. A couple other fragments also looked similar to this. Could these be part of a kiln or fire place?

Pit 11: Level 2 produced: 6 pieces of pottery, 10 pieces of glass, and 1 nail which was (oddly) free of any rust.
