Pit 114: Level 1

Completed December 28, 2020, by Bill Benton, Jocelyn and DC Locke, Odess and David Brinkman. Once again, level 1 produced very similar artifacts to the previous two pits, which were the first pits in this new line of pits in the "hot zone." A little bit of each time period was found (modern, 1960s, Granby, and Native American.) I wondered if the Duracell battery was something we dropped in the yard over the last ten years, but the "good until 2015" means the battery was probably made about eight years earlier, which was before we purchased the property.

Pit 114: Level 1 produced: Five pieces of pottery, 10 glass, four nails, and one iron.
