Pit 116: Level 1

Completed January 23, 2020 by Odess and David Brinkman. I should also mention our dog Sky who has attended most of the digs over the last year. We got Sky in 2012 just shortly after starting the Granby dig. I'm not sure why he is just now finding his way into the photos. He likes to mark his territory so that might be a reason we have kept him away. Level one was a little low in artifacts (as to be expected in this area) and very slow with many Magnolia tree roots. Odess did find a new type of pottery which was hand painted in black, grey, and blue.

Pit 116: Level 1 produced: Six pottery pieces, three glass, one nail, and three Native American pottery.
