Pit 143: Level 3

Completed on Mar 19, 2022 by Silvia and Joseph Russell (Seraphina), DCs friend, Jocelyn and DC Locke, Odess and David Brinkman. Level three had some nice hand painted pottery including pearlware which is probably from the 1790s. Also found was a 1720-1750 pipe stem and a large piece of a green wine bottle. The bottom of the level showed two archaeological features with one being a likely post hole. AT 50cm, we were still finding artifacts (which was true with the adjacent pit) so we continued for a simi-4th-level. In that we found more Granby artifacts including a piece of porcelain and also Native American pottery pieces.
