Pit 67: Level 1

Completed August 30, 2014 by David Brinkman, Jeff Fouste, and Dean Hunt. Jeff and David got things set up early on what would be another hot day. Level 1 was also hot with high numbers of pottery, glass, and nails. Jeff found an interesting iron piece with a right angle which, after cleaning, appears to be a piece of a buckle. I'm not sure if we have ever seen such a variety of Colonial period items in the first level. Great start!

Pit 67: Level 1 produced: 7 pieces of pottery, 17 pieces of glass, 7 nails, 6 iron pieces, 2 pipe bowl pieces, and 2 Native American pieces.
